Hello Sailor!

In the previous newsletter I told you about my plans for 2021.
As always, plans change as you execute them, it is time to send an update!

In developing the plans, a lot of circumstances got tossed in to a basket and shaken around. What were individual projects became branches of a much bigger project, requiring more or less simultanious work.

* Good coming from a wrong

One of the 2021 customers got in touch, sending a picture of his system being mounted.
His particular boat requires a mounting that I had been able to provide since 2011, but never actually delivered. Where he expected this custom self steering system, he received the standard one and naturally, he was not happy.

The manufacturing technique developed for the new BoB self steering system allowed for a new take on what I now call "Y&B Extended".
In two weeks time I turned the first sketches in to reality, and put it in a box to send it to Sweden.

* BoB has been delayed

A prototype for Bob has been built and the basic principles work completely satisfactory.
However, turning the prototype in to a sellable product within this season and also get serious testing done looks to be impossible if I want to stay healthy. Product development at this level is too much when it needs to be combined with running a business and a family life. Development will continue, but the expected delivery date will be dropped.

* New brochure/manual

With the new systems taking shape the Mister Vee brochure needed a revision.
Today, I am ready to share the work for the first time, only for the Mister Vee newsletter subscribers.

Besides updated information, this Brochure also includes a comparison table of the variants now on offer.

I would welcome any and all comments you may have, especially if you have harsh critisism!

* Y&B Kit

In the new brochure you can also read about Y&B Kit.

If you are interested in ordering Y&B Kit, please note the following:
Y&B Kit will be offered as shown in the new brochure, with a round vane base, which has a fixed setting for the upper mounting tubes.
However, AS LONG as stocks LAST, you can also order Y&B Variable as a KIT, with the previous model vane base, at the same price as Y&B Kit (Round)
After stocks run out, Y&B Variable will no longer be available as a Kit.

As you may now, with Y&B Kit more tasks are done by the customer.

The biggest task is building the pendulum rudder.
