Hello sailor!

As I was preparing a newsletter about the new developments for the Mister Vee self steering systems, a bit of news came across my desk.
It must have made itself known earlier, it is something I should have been aware of. But then, the last two years have been rather involved for me.

As of the 12th of August 2026 new regulations came in to effect in the EU: The PPWR

This is all about reducing packaging waste, which in itself is a good thing.
However, its effects on many smaller businesses, including mine, are disastrous.

After a sabbatical, followed by an illness in the family, I recently finished the first batch of self steering systems in the new workshop. I really enjoyed working there!

With all of the idiocy in the world, I started contemplating the future of Mister Vee.
Part of the plans for the future are now visible online.

I've started writing this email several times now. And I have not sent it just as many times.
Normally I have a good sense of purpose for the email, but with this one I do not.

This time it is also aimed at a minority of readers, but everyone is welcome to read it.

I also cannot decide if I am writing it to inform, or to get something off my chest.
The subject is emotionally charged, which I usually try to avoid.

In my last newsletter I mentioned the not so nice reason why there may be delays in shipping the spring batch of self steering systems.
With the year coming to an end, it is time to announce the much nicer reason:

I will be moving to a new workshop.
This workshop is closer to home and of much higher quality.
