Plans for 2021

Hello Sailor!

With the Y&B self steering systems for 2021 out the door it is time to get started on the plans for this year.

As you probably know, A DIY Kit for Y&B is being planned to be available later this year.

My Aim is to make a video on how to make the pendulum rudder in the coming months ad when that has been made, The Kit will go on sale, with the plan of being ready for delivery no later than October.

I am also working on the development of a new model. This model features a new Pendulum arm, which is lighter than the one used in Y&B and it has a newly designed safety release which is easier to connect to the system, and if it releases, it is easier to re-connect and have the system steering again.

I hope to have the parts ready for the first build by the end of the week to take the prototype out for sailing in the coming spring break.

Part of the development of BoB has gone in to designing a new vane base. The first results of the prototype are such that this new round vane base model will be used in all systems.

to link the vane base to the pendulum rudder and transfers the movement of the pendulum rudder to the steering lines.
